a oral history Joseph was his father's favourite and took over the family cabinet making business. On his father's deathbed, Joseph assaulted his father and was hounded out of the house, never to be seen again.

According to
a oral history Rebecca (known as "Fanny") may have poisoned her husband and moved quickly to Canada with her sons. Frederick died 1Q1905 (West Ham, 4a, 209). The story may be partly true: William migrated to Canada in 1909

and Ancestry.Com shows US immigration records for Rebecca and her three sons.
However, the

Joseph and Ann made their home in Spitalfields. They lived in Brown's Lane, but his workshop was in Wheeler Street, a corner building adjoining Quaker Street, but long since demolished. After many years in Spitalfields the lease ran out and Joseph moved to Old Kent Road
The

and

Pervinkler is an unusual surname. In the 1881 census, the only Pervinklers in England and Wales were George and Frederick and their wives. By the time of the 1901 census only Frederick and his family have the Pervinkler surname.
