In 1807, aged 22, John married Ann Jex at St Simon and St Jude, Norwich. According to David Crickmer on Genes Reunited, John and Ann had the following children:

• Robert Crickmer born about 1812 in Loddon. Robert married Martha (born about 1815).
• Ann Crickmer born about 1818
• Richard Crickmer born about 1821
• Frederick Crickmer born about 1825. In 3q1848 (Lambeth, 4, 253) Frederick married Isabella Maria Hunt
• Henry Crickmer born about 1826

John was a flour factor and baker who lived in Bermondsey. The Examiner shows that John was declared bankrupt in 1824.

The 1841 Census shows John and Ann living in Fendall Street, Bermondsey.

John died 1q1850 (Bermondsey, vol. 4, p. 22) aged about 65. Ann probably died 2q1860 (Rotherhithe, 1d, 333) aged about 70
