1851 census
shows Edward married to Hannah. Edward was a farmer of 55 acres employing 3 men.
Edward and Hannah had the following children:
- James Stubbins, christened 6th August 1826 in Stuntney (IGI). The

1891 census
shows that James was a farmer of 30 acres who remained unmarried and lived with his sister Elizabeth
- Sarah Stubbins, born christened 22nd June 1828 in Stuntney (IGI).
- Edward Stubbins, christened 13th June 1830 in Stuntney (IGI). In the

Edward is shown as a farm labourer married to Elizabeth (born 1829 in Ely) with two sons:
- John Stubbins, born 1853, a farm labourer. The
1901 census
shows John living in Springfield Road, Chesterton, married to Elizabeth (born 1857 in Stapleford). John and Elizabeth had the following children:
- Charles Stubbins born 1879, a painter
- Edward Stubbins born 1888, an errand boy
- Fred Stubbins born 1893
- Ruth Stubbins (born 1894
- Thomas Stubbins born 1860, a farm labourer). The

shows Thomas living in Ely married to Sophia (born 1856 in Prickwillow, Cambs)
- John Stubbins, christened 1st July 1832 in Stuntney (IGI), a farmer. The
1881 census

shows John as a farm labourer married to Elizabeth (born 1830 in Downham, Cambs.)
- Elizabeth Ann Stubbins, christened 3rd Mary 1835 in Stuntney (IGI). The
1881 census
shows that Elizabeth remained unmarried and lived with her older brother James
- Hannah Stubbins, christened 14th August 1836 in Stuntney (IGI)
The
Stuntey Directory for 1851
shows that Edward was known as an important person in Stuntney as he was clerk of the chapel.
On 1st October 1857 Hannah died of typhoid.
Edward does not appear in the 1861 census, but the
1871 census

shows Edward, aged 78, living with his son James and daughter Elizabeth, at The Dunstalls, Ely.
Edward died of influenza 18th April 1877 at The Dunstalls, Ely aged 84.
