This Waiting Game Split

All good things
22 October 2007 at 22:40

If anyone actually still checks this. This Waiting Game is no more. Four of the five of us have moved to universities across England, and there was no way for the band to continue as a group.

It was a hugely uplifting experience for all of us. Creating and playing music with your best friends is an amazing thing and it's very sad to have to call it a day.

We all owe a huge thanks to everyone who contributed something towards the band, it just wouldn't have happened without support from others. Thanks to the venues that we were lucky enough to play in. Thanks to the bands we were lucky enough to play with. Thanks to everyone who came to our gigs and showed their support. Special thanks to our close friends and close bands who we've had the pleasure of sharing our experiences with.

First off, we will be joined by our good friends Dead Noise who we are very exicted to play with for the first time.

Second up are The Sinnicks, who came very close behind us in the battle that got us this gig. We're proud to be playing with them and look forward to seeing them play again.

And finally, the show promoters Additude Promotions have chosen Sinfonia as the final supports for the night. These guys are a local metal band who are bound to pack a punch.

Grab the flyers attached and spread the word!

Win at Additude BOTB

TWG nab first prize
26 April 2007 at 10:12

In a strange but satisfying turn of events, This Waiting Game took first prize at the Additude Promotions Battle of the Bands on Tuesday night (24th April).

We played alongside The Moho, The Sinnicks and fellow We Ignite band In Redemption I Stand, who all played fantastically themselves and deserved a spot in the final.

Big thanks to Adam Sideserf and Adam Monaghan for making it all possible. And to everyone who came down on the night, we can’t thank you enough; especially those who chucked a vote in for us.

Along with a bit of dosh, that gig has guaranteed us a headline slot in a future Additude gig. Watch this space and make sure you get down to it. It’ll be a nice change to play some regular gigs.

Thanks again guys.
